At this time, all popcorn is Non-GMO.

Is your processing facility allergen-free?
Our popcorn processing environment is Nut-Free, Peanut-Free, Soy-Free, Dairy-Free and Gluten-Free

How should I store my popcorn?
Place popcorn in a container with a tight lid, then store in a cool, dry place such as a pantry. Do not store in a freezer or refrigerator as this may dry out the kernels.

What is the shelf life of popcorn kernels?
Popcorn has an indefinite shelf life as long as it is stored in ideal conditions. However for best results, we recommend using it within one year from purchase.

What makes popcorn pop?
Ideally, each popcorn kernel contains about 13 percent moisture. As it is heated up, the moisture inside turns into steam and expands, eventually reaching an explosion point (pop).

My popcorn doesn’t pop like it used to. What’s wrong?
As popcorn ages, it tends to lose needed moisture. That is why it needs to be stored properly. (Try sprinkling a little water over the kernels, shake, then let them set in an air tight container for at least a day before using.)

Do you have hull-less popcorn?
All popcorn must have a hull to pop. Some varieties of popcorn may have hulls that break up better upon popping, but there is no such variety as “hull-less” popcorn.

What is the shelf life of PopStar oil?
The official Best Buy date is one year from packing, and that is marked on the container. After that date, there may be a change in taste, but the product will still be safe to consume.

How much popcorn and oil should I use together?
We recommend a 3 to 1 ratio of popcorn to our PopStar oil. For example, 3 tablespoons popcorn to 1 tablespoon oil per batch. One qt. of PopStar oil will pop approximately 6 lbs. of popcorn; a gallon, approximately 24 lbs. of popcorn. For a 6 qt popper, Use ½ cup popcorn and 1-3 Tablespoons of oil.  Add the ingredients to the popper then place the popper on medium heat source.

How much popped corn will a 2 lb. bag of kernels yield?
A 2 lb. bag of our popcorn will pop approximately 28 qts. (112 cups) of popcorn.

How much popped popcorn does a 1 oz. bag hold? A #2 bag?
Approximately 4 cups of popcorn. Approximately 6.5 cups of popcorn.

Does PopStar Popping Oil contain dairy products?
Our PopStar popping oil is produced in a dairy free environment and does not contain any type of dairy or milk product. The butter flavoring used in PopStar oil is considered non-allergenic.

I do not see any shipping charges on my order, what is wrong?
More than likely the weight of the order exceeded 150 lbs, the maximum allowed by UPS. Please call our office at 1-800-445-2868 and someone will be glad to help you place an order.
